National consultations with nonprofit and voluntary organizations resulted in a report that summarizes findings such as the greatest strengths of organizations and the challenges facing organizations.

Senate Report on the Challenge of the Rural Poor - Part 1
The Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry has recently released the first of two parts of its report on rural poverty, “Understanding Freefall: The Challenge of the Rural Poor”. It deals with the demographic and income challenges of rural Canada.
