    Strait-Highlands RDA congratulates Bruce Beaton on his recent induction to the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame.

    Bruce Beaton from Port Hood, Inverness County, began his football career in university, eventually becoming a first round draft pick of the B.C. Lions. Bruce played with several teams including the Calgary Stampeders, the Montreal Alouette and ending his career with the Edmonton Eskimos. Highlights from his career included winning two Grey Cups with the Eskimos, being a three-time CFL All-Star and a seven-time CFL Division All-Star, playing with the Edomonton Eskimo All-Century Team, and being named a three-time All-Canadian at Acadia University.

    S-HRDA congratulates Bruce Beaton on his achievements and thanks the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame for recognizing the efforts of this great athlete from the Strait Area of Nova Scotia.
